The same sentiment seems to run through almost all applications of AI. Evidently the current view is that AI is the solution to virtually any problem in imaging. As an example, the 2019 SPIE Medical Imaging conference was, as usual, divided into nine tracks representing different imaging technologies or clinical applications, but roughly half of all presentations, across all nine tracks, involved some form of AI. There is enormous current interest in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in acquiring and interpreting medical images.
